Indianapolis, IN - Autobase, Inc., the market leader in automotive marketing and sales solutions, is proud to be a proponent of Open Secure Access (OSA).
OSA is a coalition of companies consisting of dealer groups, dealer software suppliers, and dealer services providers who believe dealers have the right to control who accesses their data and how their data is used.

“As a leading CRM provider for retail automotive dealers, Autobase recognizes that dealers need to be able to control who accesses their data,” said Allan Stejskal, Open Secure Access President. “We are pleased to have Autobase’s support for an open, secure dealership data environment.”

OSA members firmly believe industry participants should work together to ensure dealer data is secure. Third parties that receive dealer permission to utilize their dealership’s data should be able to retrieve that data through their own efforts or through the services of an independent company.

"The question of who will ultimately control the dealership's data is one of the paramount issues in the industry today," commented Phil Barras, Vice President of Strategic Relations, Autobase, Inc.  "OSA and the companies that are taking the lead on this issue provide the best assurance to the dealer that their data will remain in their control. In addition, they ensure the appropriate standards for safeguarding and securing their data will be maintained."

OSA’s membership also includes: ADP, Advent Resources, Arkona, Authenticom, Autobytel Inc., AutoNation, AutoSurvey, AutoTrader.com, Balise Motor Sales, Bill Dube Hyundai, Boerne Superstore, CARFAX, Cars.com, CarsDirect.com, The Cobalt Group, DataCube, Dealer Intelligence, Dealer Specialties, DealerTrack, Decarie Motors, Draper Chevrolet Dodge Toyota, Fitzgerald Auto Malls, Imobile Software, J.C.
