Beginnings of Automotive CRM (Early 1980s)

Ronald Reagan was President when Bryan Anderson first entered the auto retail industry. In his early years as a salesperson, Bryan created his own personal follow-up processes that resulted in notably more traffic to his desk. It began to turn heads. Before long, his customer management and marketing methods were adopted by others in the store and the business grew appreciably. With the dawn of the PC, Bryan began to envision how one might leverage the latest technology to drive these very same processes throughout a dealership. In 1988, Bryan Anderson was the first to put technology-based CRM on the showroom floor. Autobase CRM was born.
